Application Example 1: Linear Add/Drop
Surveillance Camera System: below shows the surveillance camara along the high-way. ETC is hosted in the outdoor enclosure, with 1 fiber pair coming from the upstream equipment, and the other fiber pair going to the downstream equipment. Application Example 2
Carrier can sell bandwidth services at 1 Mbps incremental to different customers, and benefit from ETC’s VLAN capability to separate user data even though multiple users are at the same location, sharing the same ETC. ETC’s dual fiber redundancy offers serurity and protection against fiber break.
