Dowslake Receives Deployment Certification from China MII for its MTS Series Carrier Ethernet Switches, and Signs First Major Contract with China Telecom

Dowslake Microsystems Corp., a leading smart network building block provider, today announced that its MTS Series Carrier Ethernet Switch has been successfully tested and certified for deployment by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China. Dowslake has also signed its first major contract with China Telecom for supplying Carrier Ethernet switches to deliver bandwidth service in the province of Sichuan.
The Dowslake MTS family of products consist of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches designed according to the latest Carrier Ethernet standards, including MEF 9 and MEF 14, IEEE 802.1ag, IEEE 802.3ah and ITU-T Recommendation Y.1731. Dowslake previously announced MEF certification of its MTS carrier switches in late 2008.
Dowslake Microsystems provides smart network building blocks for optical transport, Ethernet aggregation, and customer premises access. Main products include CATS (Converged Access and Transport System), MTS Series Carrier Ethernet Switches, optical amplifiers, and TDM or Ethernet access equipment. Dowslake sells to major equipment vendors as well as carrier customers worldwide.
